Conor loves school. He has asked for school all summer, literally from the first week of summer vacation. As the school year approached he asked for it more frequently. This morning he woke up an hour ahead of the time we had planned to wake him. He was a bit anxious and was the first one in the driveway and into the car to go to school. He was happy to get to school where he is shown waiting for his teacher assistant who worked with him last year and did an outstanding job.
By the end of the day, back home, the excitement was getting to him and he did some screaming but no self injury or destructive behavior. To some extent it was like the first day of school for any child. The autism was a factor primarily when he got tired.

Above with Mom, he has grown quite a bit since his first day of middle school last year.
